J got a Wii system a while back, and I've grown really fond of this adorable addition to our gaming options. It's much more kinetically active than most systems, and its general goofiness makes for a fun time, with less of the tooth-gnashing bloodlust that can be engendered by the XBox games.
But the best part is the Miis, the little characters you can create to reflect yourselves and your friends. J made a little Mii replica of our household!
The shots are a little fuzzy, but they're pretty good, considering the circumstances. We haven't figured out a way to export the Miis into graphics files, so J actually took pictures of the TV screen. (The old TV screen, not the new super-bad-ass mega-TV.) Thanks, hon!

This is my sweetheart himself, blond hair, glasses and all. (I didn't realize he liked yellow so much, though; I'll have to get him a sunny shirt one of these days.) Somehow, this character even captures his heavy-lidded gaze and sweet smile. Those folks at Nintendo know their graphics.
This is my Mii. I'm quite flattered by this one, honestly. She looks pretty and not at all blobular or surly. I guess J was creating through the eyes of love there.
I love Mojo's Mii. It captures his easily-startled essence. This guy is smaller than the Miis for me and J, since, y'know, the cats are somewhat smaller than we are. Even Mojo a.k.a. "Medium Dog."
And this is the greatest Mii of all: Emily. She's old, she's small, she's cranky -- and, it turns out, she's one hell of a baseball player. Emily usually gets at least a triple in the Wii Sports baseball game. I think maybe the other Miis are afraid of her. That would truly be artificial intelligence.

This new game fascinates me, even as I am repelled by comp.gaming in general. (Due to long-term systematic pissingmeoffing by men-types) I await an opportunity to examine it in closer quarters.
